George Henry Loomes

At the age of 18 and 165 days George enlisted for the Army in Leicester on 8/4/1918.

He was assigned to the 1/5 South Staffordshire Regiment, Regtl. No.43806.

On his Record of Service Paper his address is 39 Myrtle Road, Highfields, Leicester and his trade was Carter (Coal).

On his Medical History sheet we find out that George was, 5’ 81/2” tall, weighed 135 lbs, had auburn hair, grey eyes, 
a fresh complexion and a scar on his right cheek.

Pte. George was demobbed on 29th November 1919.
