Introduction

Hi my name is Nick Loomes and thank you for visiting my website. 
It seems to me to have taken forever and a day to get where I am now, yet I have only covered a small section of the LOOMES Family Tree which is my direct link to my ancestors. 
Up to now I have managed to trace them back to the late half of the 17th century living in the
villages of North Kilworth and Husbands Bosworth in Leicestershire.

My intention for creating this web site was done for three reasons, firstly to share my information with other members of the 'LOOMES family' who may be linked to this tree in some way, secondly I want to carry on growing this Family tree as I know there's a lot of us LOOMES' out there and thirdly when you are reading about a relative from the past, I think it's nice to feel for a moment you bring them back to life and that they have not been forgotten.

A brief description of each Hyperlink is given below:

IN THE BEGINNING since I started this web site I have been in contact with Irene Bozzoni who has gone back even further then I have on her tree, in fact another four generations, fortunately for me at this point on the tree we share the same (direct) ancestors. I have made a family tree chart, with some notes to show these ancestors.

CHAPTERS covers the life of my Direct Ancestor, his children and their children, using census, parish records and BMD records.

LOOMES INDEX shows all individuals in the Loomes family tree, who their parents and spouse were,
birth, marriage and death dates (if known) and hyperlinks to census they appear in.
Clicking on an individual name that is hyperlinked will take you to a chapter that individual is mentioned in.

PARISH RECORDS shows all the Loomes that were baptized, married and buried at All Saints Church, Husbands Bosworth, Leicestershire between 1700 and 1894.

LINK TO OTHER FAMILIES 1 covers the wife's of my direct ancestors, her parents, grandparents and siblings, written in the same way as the CHAPTERS above, again with hyperlinks to census.

LINK TO OTHER FAMILTES 2 covers the link to my tree through the brothers/sisters of my direct ancestors, detailing their spouses, children, etc. written in the same way as the CHAPTERS above.

FAMILY TREE CHARTS  shows the members of a family, their relationship to one another and the dates of birth, marriage and death if known.

LAST WILL & TESTAMENTS  in the records office in Wigston, Leicestershire, I came across five 'last will & testaments' belonging to ancestors of my mine.
They have been copied word for word from the originals, by my mother Joyce, to make them easier to read.
